CRP land and overgrown pastures can be turned into productive land using forestry mulching equipment to cut and grind vegetation into mulch. Using this method of field reclamation or pasture reclamation prevents the need to burn or haul piles of vegetation left over from other land clearing methods. Using the forestry mulching method, mulch that is left behind will decompose which will result in a richer soil.
